10 second coffee trick to lose weight Reddit

Hi coffee experts out there! Is it true that espresso shot die after 10 seconds? Can someone please explain and confirm the theory behind this? I normally pull a shot and steam milk right after, but it takes me about 20-25secs to steam before I start mixing the milk into the espresso shot. What's everyone routine look like, please share and help!

Thank you! :D

I'm an 18 year old girl, roughly 5'8" and 155 lbs. I want to lose weight as fast as I can in the healthiest way possible. So what are some things you've changed in your lifestyle/diet that made a big difference on how you've lost weight? (I'm not very interested in a keto type diet or starving myself.)

My goal is to lose AT LEAST 15 lbs in the next month or so.

A couple of things you should know are that

I pretty much only drink water and milk. I'm not a fan of soda at all.

I don't feel comfortable running in public yet, at least not until I've lost weight. I just don't like the idea of people seeing me sweating like a cow.

I stupidly got on the coffee addict wagon again over the past 6 months or so where I've greatly gone off my very limited Autoimmune Protocol diet (AIP). So, I've been going back to the strict diet for the past month and a half to lose the excess 20 pounds I gained during this period.

Usually, I can lose 20 pounds in 2 months with 16:8 intermittent fasting, 10 minute ice baths around 50°F, and simply walking every day. This is just slightly faster than what is supposedly "healthy" weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week. I get blood tests and my heart measured every 3 months by my endocrinologist due to my autoimmune disease and I've never seen any kind of problem from losing weight this fast. I'm pretty sure a large amount of it is actually water weight bloat and inflammation weight since both of these things happen to autoimmune patients who are not on AIP. After I lose the weight, my blood pressure's good, heart rate is good, and my blood sugar, cholesterol levels, liver enzymes, etc. all end up being way healthier from one visit to the next.

Anyway, this time I hit a wall pretty early on and hadn't been able to lose 10 pounds in almost 2 months. I was really confused what was going on since I was only losing 1 pound a week and then I got stuck at the same weight for almost 2 weeks.

As I was deciding I really need to give up coffee again (since it's not AIP and I know I always feel better off the junk), I Googled up some anti-coffee articles to psyche up for quitting. I came across this one article that showed pretty clear weight loss after just 1 month of quitting coffee. I didn't even really read it. I just remembered, "Oh yeah, coffee bloat, inflammation bloat, that's probably why I'm not losing weight this time," and immediately decided to quit coffee.

The first 24 hours, I did not lose any weight. But, when I weighed myself at the beginning of day 2, I had lost 2 pounds. Day 3, I had lost 2 more pounds and I'm well on my way to my usual ideal weight.

Pretty clear evidence that the only thing holding me back was the coffee, which was the last non-AIP dietary item I had not given up yet.

If I am counting calories can I still put some creamer in? Did anyone just stop drinking coffee or did they just go black?

Curious of what people have done, I currently use creamer and add those calories in.

Thanks in advance!
