Strategy/Usage
Express Cat is basically a glass cannon, somewhat similar to A. Bahamut, Yukimura and Swimmer Cat among others. With its super speed and strong attacks, it can be used to drill through clusters of enemies or deliver strong hits to a tough boss in-between attack frames. The Extra money ability is just a bonus that can be exploited against a peon that drops a lot of cash such as Doge Dark or B.B.Bunny.
Express Cat's slow attack rate and lack of knockbacks mean that it will usually only get in one attack before death, so think carefully about when to send it out. It is recommended to use it just after a boss enemy attacks, so it might even get in two or three attacks instead of being killed on the route to the boss. Using it against enemies with knockback or warp, such as Shibalien Elite or Trolly Blogger, is also a solution for getting it to attack again, provided if Express Cat does not die quickly to the attack.
Due to having only one knockback, high speed and instant attack, Express Cat can take out an unprotected Assassin Bear as long as it is not too buffed. If it is, then this requires immensely good timing or the Thunderbolt Cannon, so do not rely on this if you do not fulfil either requirements. Besides, even with those requirements, the technique shouldn't be relied on, as there are many more reliable counters to Assassin Bears that are meant to be defeated.
A great way of using Express Cat is stalling. Double the income means more money, so you can get your Worker Cat to MAX quicker.
Another good way of taking advantage of its Extra Money ability is by chipping down a big enemy or midboss, such as Duche, and sending out Express Cat to deliver the final blow, doubling the already high money drop.
True Form
Bullet Train Cat gains some stat boosts and extra speed. Although the increase to health and attack are minor, this makes it much better at dealing chip damage, which is its main use. Furthermore, its increased speed turns it into the fastest cat in the game, which is definitely worth something and makes it easier to time. Overall, worth the trouble of the stages which you must beat to get its True Form.
