What time do the flyers play tonight

In a 2020-21 season the opposite of normal, the Flyers will at least experience some normalcy with the start times of their games.

Aside from the reported February outdoor game in Stateline, Nevada, the Flyers don't change time zones during their 56-game regular-season schedule. For now, the Flyers can say so long to the Western Canada and West Coast road trips that result in late-night puck drops back home in the Delaware Valley.

Playing in the realigned East Division this season, the Flyers will play 46 of their 56 games at either 7 or 7:30 p.m. ET. Consistent routines and sleep schedules are valued by players. Amid all of the adjustments with the 2020-21 campaign, this season should be conducive to decent routines for the players given the Flyers play the same seven teams eight times apiece, and only once outside the Eastern time zone.

The latest the Flyers play this season is at 8 p.m. ET and that's for only one game — Feb. 3 against the Bruins at the Wells Fargo Center.

Below are all the times for puck drop this season. A broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.

Nick Castellanos (oblique) hit against the high-velocity machine. He will do that again Saturday. Rob Thomson said he has recommended Castellanos take a minor-league rehab but Castellanos can decline. Castellanos has been on the injured list only three times in his career and he has never gone on a minor-league rehab -- at his choice. If he returns without a rehab, he would be platooned to start.

It's no secret how valuable J.T. Realmuto is to the Phillies. But it is remarkable how wide the gap is between him and every other catcher. He has a 108.2-inning lead (equivalent to 12 full games) on Sean Murphy for innings caught. It would be the largest gap from 1st place to 2nd place in innings caught in MLB since 2004 when Jason Kendall (1259.0) led Brian Schneider (1114.0) by 145.0 innings.

Andrew Painter, here to receive his Paul Owens Award for the best pitcher in the organization this season, said he was proud to reach 100 innings. How does he make the push to target 150-200 innings? "Really, I think it's just work ethic," Painter said. "Making sure I'm not going through the motions. Making sure there is attention to detail in every little thing you do. Prioritizing the arm care."

Bob Myers said the Warriors will meet with Jordan Poole's representation to discuss a possible contract extension after the upcoming Tokyo trip. So early October. It'll be the first substantial negotiations between the sides.

Senior Writer, Warriors

The Warriors expect everyone healthy and ready for their first practice on Saturday, per Steve Kerr. No restrictions on Ryan Rollins or Patrick Baldwin Jr., the rookies who dealt with issues over the summer. First full training camp for James Wiseman.

Nick Castellanos continues to do more work as he recovers from an oblique strain. He could go to Triple-A Lehigh Valley this weekend for a quick rehab assignment. That would put him on track to return next week when the Phillies begin a season-ending road trip. Additionally, Zach Eflin's status is in question because he had some back spasms that prevented him from pitching over the weekend.

2

The Phillies are hopeful Rhys Hoskins will return to the lineup Sunday against the Braves and their hard-throwing righty Spencer Strider. Hoskins said the swelling in his right arm has decreased and he took a bunch of swings in the cage Saturday. They could use him.
