Less than a week after hurting his back in Panama while on his Pa’lla Voy tour, Marc Anthony seems to be doing a lot better.
On Monday (May 9), his girlfriend, Nadia Ferreira, posted a photo of him on a private jet with her celebrating her 23rd birthday with some cake and champagne on her Instagram. Ferreira’s birthday is actually May 10, so it looks like the couple was getting a head start on the festivities.
In the photo, the couple are all smiles. It looks like Anthony, 53, is holding a cane in his right hand, so it’s more than likely that his back is still probably giving him some problems. But what caught people’s eyes was the ring on Ferreira’s hand.
Now, a ring on that hand could mean absolutely anything. This is 2022 after all and she has the means to provide for herself. But their photo is too perfect and staged to be anything other than an announcement to the world that things have gotten a little more serious between these two.

Last week, Anthony’s team put out a statement that said he would have to postpone his concert in Panama because he hurt his back on some stairs and was being treated by specialists.
“The mishap caused complications in his back, which prevented him from performing live,” his team said. “We thank all the medical personnel in Panama who immediately gathered to offer their care and all the fans who were present for the long-awaited concert.”
On Thursday (May 5), Anthony posted a video on Instagram letting his fans know that he was back in Miami seeing doctors and thanked them for their well wishes.
“It’s that simple,” he said. “I’m human. Shit hurts. I couldn’t. I went to the concert. Why would I fly into a country and not want to do the concert? I was really excited about it, actually. Shit happens.”

Marc Anthony cancels Panama concert
Marc Anthony had to cancel his Panama concert while in the midst of his Pa’ Alla Voy tour, after the Grammy Award-winning performer endured an injury.
Hola reports that at 11:45 pm on 4th May, attendees at the Rommel Fernández stadium heard an announcement made by the event’s management, informing the public that the show had been cancelled due to an accident that the star suffered backstage only minutes before he was scheduled to perform.
The incident reportedly disturbed some of the concertgoers, who asked for reimbursement.
Magic Dream, the company that organised the event, stated that a new date for the concert will soon be revealed and reassured ticket holders that they will not have to make any extra purchases.
Backstage accident leaves star unable to perform
Event organisers reportedly stated:
“Marc Anthony had to postpone his concert in Panama due to an accident involving the stage’s stairs, occurring minutes before his appearance onstage. The injury resulted in complications on his back, which prevented his live performance.”
According to Hola, the statement continued:
“Currently, Marc is being transported to Miami to be attended by his specialists. We are grateful for medical personnel in Panama, who immediately provided their services and to all guests who were present for the concert.”
Hours before the accident
Hours before the concert, Marc Anthony appeared excited to be in Panama as he took to Instagram with a joyous video in which he is shown alongside his girlfriend, Nadia Ferreira, dancing to Dominican musician Juan Luis Guerra in their car.
@marcanthony accompanied the clip with a Spanish caption that translates:
“Dancing to the rhythm of @JuanLuisGuerra warming up for tomorrow’s show in #Panama.”

We thank all the medical personnel in Panama who immediately gathered to offer their care and all the fans who were present for the long-awaited concert.”

A day prior, Anthony shared a sweet video on his Instagram page alongside girlfriend Nadia Ferreira, dancing along to Juan Luis Guerra’s music in the car, as he was getting hyped for his Panama show.
Anthony unveiled his long-awaited album, Pa’lla Voy, in March via Sony Music Latin. The album’s second single, “Mala,” notched the singer his 14th No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart as “Mala” surged 9-1 on the March 12-dated ranking. The single also led Tropical Airplay with a 3-1 jump.
The star was also nominated for four Latin AMAs this year, including favorite artist in the tropical category and tour of the year. “Pa’lla Voy” was up for favorite song tropical, and his “De Vuelta Pa’ La Vuelta” with Daddy Yankee was nominated for collaboration of the year.
