The first point of view would be the default one: First-person. Beyond being the most commonly used point of view that players use in-game it also allows you to see items up close and personal the most efficiently.

This view can allow you to place your character where there is a unique subject matter or backdrop behind them to talk about, or if you just want people to see what your character looks like from their front. The other use is if you are running away from a situation and want to see if what you are running away from is far enough away from you.

F5, or on some laptops, Fn + F5 is how you change your perspective between first and third person in Minecraft.

Depending on the keyboard, Fn makes the keypress do the sub or main function. You may have to experiment with your keyboard, but that key usually means "do the other thing that's also on that key".

Toggle Order for the View

When you toggle between views in Minecraft, here is the order of the camera angles:

First Person → Third Person Rear → Third Person → back to First Person

When you press the game control to toggle the view, you will move to the next camera angle. Depending on which view you want, you might have to press the game control more than once.
