After a successful showing against Moore, Mayweather has vowed to compete again. "I will bring another fight back to the UAE this year, [The opponent] is a secret,” said Mayweather when speaking with Boxing Scene. “I don't want to let the cat out the bag right now, but we have an opponent, and I choose the UAE. "It's been a little rollercoaster ride for all of the fighters. I want to commend the fighters on just being patient. These types of things happen in life. We go through ups. We go through downs, but we stand strong, stand together, and we made it happen. "I just want to say thank you to everyone that's here. I want to say thank you to everyone in the whole UAE for having patience and all of the fighters up here who are unbelievable and the sponsors." Floyd Mayweather Jr. has another exhibition upcoming. The former boxer will face MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in Japan this September, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), his second exhibition in the country since his retirement from professional boxing five years ago. Mayweather faced Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in the country back in 2018, an event that he showed up two hours late to before promptly knocking Nasukawa to the mat three times in a two-minute span, leaving him in tears after his corner called the fight. By the end of his career, Mayweather was fighting in the welterweight division (140-147 pounds). Following his easy May win over Don Moore in Abu Dhabi, Floyd Mayweather’s next fight has been booked for September, and the boxing legend will compete a second time in Japan for the MMA promotion Rizin.
