0 0 Song Lyrics I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house That don't bother me I can take a few tears now and then and just let 'em out I'm not afraid to cry every once in a while Even though goin' on with you gone still upsets me There are days every now and again I pretend I'm okay But that's not what gets me What hurts the most was being so close And havin' so much to say And watchin' you walk away And never knowin' what could've been And not seein' that lovin' you Is what I was trying to do It's hard to deal with the pain of losin' you everywhere I go But I'm doing it It's hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I'm alone Still harder gettin' up, gettin' dressed, livin' with this regret But I know if I could do it over I would trade, give away all the words that I saved in my heart That I left unspoken What hurts the most was being so close And havin' so much to say And watchin' you walk away And never knowin' what could've been And not seein' that lovin' you Is what I was trying to do, oh What hurts the most was being so close And havin' so much to say And watchin' you walk away And never knowin' what could've been And not seein' that lovin' you Is what I was trying to do That's what I was trying to do, oohOfficial Video SongThe What Hurts The Most song lyrics is written by Jeffrey Steele & Stephen Paul Robson in the year 2006. The long and chequered history of 'What Hurts The Most' offers conclusive proof that you can't keep a good song down. After knocking round in various guises over the past half-decade, it finally managed to sneak into the top ten last month thanks to a Euro-dance reworking by Cascada. However, as The Sound discovered after a nice bit of Google abuse, there's a lot more to the song than a banal-but-rousing chorus and a relentless series of bullet-from-a-gun beats. 2003 2004 Irish girl-group Bellefire - remember their take on U2's 'All I Want Is You'? - record 'What Hurts The Most' for their unreleased second album. 2005 S Club 7 survivor Jo O'Meara releases 'What Hurts The Most' as her first, and to date only, solo single. It peaks at number 13 on the UK singles chart. 2006 2007 2008
Without a doubt, Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts The Most” is one of the most heartbreaking songs in modern country music history. Though it’s one of their most popular songs, they actually weren’t the first group to release the song. “What Hurts The Most” was written by Jeffrey Steele and Steve Robson. It was first recorded by Mark Wills in 2003, then it was covered by Bellefire and Jo O’Meara in 2005. Later, it was finally recorded by Rascal Flatts, who definitely made it famous. They released it as a single off their Me And My Gang album. It quickly became their fifth #1 single. It reached that spot on both the US Hot Country Songs (Billboard) chart and the US Adult Contemporary (Billboard) chart. This song is so emotional and raw, it’ll shake a person to their core. It tells the story of the narrator losing the love of his life and having to learn to cope with it. The difficulty comes with knowing how close they were and having to deal with the fact that he let her walk away. That being said, the official music video will have y’all in tears. It shows a girl crying over the loss of her boyfriend, who died in a car crash right after they got into an argument, causing him to leave. Throughout the video, flashbacks are shown of the couple and their relationship together. Eventually, it shows the girl vomiting implying that she’s pregnant. Towards the end, she’s seen making her way down a street, only to kneel beside a roadside cross. She says, “I saw you,” answering his question of “What do you see?” from earlier in the video during one of the flashbacks. She saw him in he future. If y’all want to have a good cry, check this out. Don’t forget the box of tissues!
