How to make sandstone minecraft

To make a Sandstone wall, you’ll need Sand Blocks and Sandstones. Please follow the following steps to make a Sandstone wall. 

Sand Blocks

In order to make a sandstone wall, the basic item that you will have to find is sand. Use any shovel to gather at least 24 sand blocks. You can find sand in a nearby water canal or at the bank of the river. 

Sandstone 

After that, you will need to craft sandstone. Go towards the crafting table and open 3*3 crafting grid. Add 24 sand blocks on the crafting grid in four adjacent cells, six in each cell to craft six sandstones as 4 sand blocks can make 1 sandstone. Add them in your inventory.

Sandstone Wall

Now you can craft sandstone wall by adding six sandstones in adjacent rows of 3*3 crafting grid. You will get a sandstone wall in the right side box to the crafting table. Don’t forget to bring these sandstone walls into your inventory. Sandstone wall is a decorative block. Like fences, they can be used to block off areas, as players and most mobs are unable to get over them.

How to Craft A Sandstone

#1 Open your crafting table

First, open your crafting table so that you can have a 3x3 crafting grid as you can see in the image.

Make sure you have enough sand before moving to the next step. You should have at least 4x sand blocks to craft a sandstone block. 

#2 Add sand into a crafting table

To initiate the process of crafting sandstone blocks, you need to place 4x sand blocks in a 3x3 crafting grid in the same order as shown in the image.

The first box on the third line should contain 1x sand block, followed by 1x sand block in the second box. Place 2x sand blocks in the middle row in the same order as in the third line.

Displacement of sand blocks in any other box, won’t get you desired results. 

# Move sandstone to Inventory

Click and drag down sandstone blocks into your inventory. 

The above process will get you 1x sandstone, however, if you want more. Just repeat the process again and again to get your desired number of sandstone blocks.

Natural generation[]

Regular sandstone generates in deserts and beaches, compressed underneath several blocks of sand. Orange terracotta replaces what would be the sandstone layer for red sand, so red sandstone cannot be found naturally unless from village floating structure. It must be crafted from the red sand in badlands biomes.

However, if a village generates some buildings inside of a badlands biome, any floating platform surrounding village buildings generate with red sandstone below red sand.

Many structures that generate in deserts are made of sandstone. Desert wells are made of normal sandstone, desert villages made of normal, cut, and smooth sandstone, and desert pyramids are made of normal, cut, and chiseled sandstone. Additionally, warm underwater ruins are made greatly of sandstone variants. All the aforementioned structures use sandstone blocks, slabs, stairs, and walls. No naturally generated structures are made of red sandstone.

• Chiseled red sandstone has the symbol of a Wither on it. The idea of the wither appearing on chiseled red sandstone was suggested by Reddit user ULiopleurodon.[3]
• Cut sandstone and cut red sandstone are two of the three blocks with a slab equivalent, but not a stair equivalent. The other one is smooth stone.
