During the first two seasons of the reality show "Duck Dynasty" most viewers assumed the hilarious Si Robertson was a single man. However, on a recent episode of the late night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel" featuring Phil, Si, Jase And Willie Robertson, it was revealed Si has a wife. 

On the new season of "Duck Dynasty" it was also stated Si has been happily married for over 40-years. This information was made public mostly likely due to the fact women started writing to Si proposing marriage (they know a good thing when they see it). However, this  confounded Si's brother Phil, who jokingly pretended no one in their right mind should want to marry his sibling.

So who is the brave lady that won Si's heart and can keep up with the Vietnam vet, who is full of colorful, funny stories and has driving skills that would scare NASCAR and Formula 1. Introducing Mrs. Christine Robertson. Living with Si must be a barrel of laughs.

It may come as a surprise to some fans of the popular A&E reality show Duck Dynasty that crazy Uncle Si is spoken for.

Unlike the rest of his family, he is never seen with a significant other, but he has been married since 1971 to a woman who he adoringly calls Miss Christine.

During a behind the scenes interview with ABC News, he reveals he had to ask Miss Christine for her hand in marriage quite a few times.

“I asked this woman to marry me at least 100 times. She finally said yes and hey, that’s the end of that story,” he says.

As any fan of the show, we have wondered why the woman who keeps Si in check is not featured! According to an interview in Us Weekly, Si reveals that Miss Christine has a “better sense” than his whole family for choosing not to appear on Duck Dynasty.

The real reason she has chosen to stay out of the limelight is the rigorous filming schedule.

“Sometimes we film 12 hours a day,” Si reveals. “And she’s just not healthy enough to go through the rigors of that. But, ah, it ain’t no big deal. She wants no part of it anyway. She’s been married to me for 43 years. The last thing she needs is to watch us on a TV show.”

Although he is arguably the most well-known Robertson, he doesn’t always like being the center of attention.

“Celebrity life is not all it’s cracked up to be!” he shares. “If I had a choice to go somewhere or stay home, I’d stay home. I’m a homebody. Christine’s the same.”

Si is also a romantic at heart. For the couple’s 43rd anniversary, they renewed their vows and he recorded an entire album dedicated to his “Smokin’ Hot Honey”. Take a listen to one of his songs below.

Si Robertson revealed the real reason his wife does not appear on Duck Dynasty is because of her health. However, she would rather not appear on TV anyway.

While the famous reality show is a big part of Robertson’s life, there are still a few members of the family who do not want to appear on television. One of those is his wife, Christine Robertson, who is just not up to taking part in filming the hit reality series.

For the first time, Robertson revealed the actual reason Christine is not on the show, and that is because she has health issues that prevent her from the long hours of shooting Duck Dynasty requires.

“Sometimes we film 12 hours a day,” Robertson said. “And she’s just not healthy enough to go through the rigors of that.”

Before now, when Robertson was asked why his wife was not seen by his side on the show, he “always told people, ‘She’s got better sense than the rest of us.'” But, while he finally came clean as to why Christine is absent form the popular series, he admitted that she is not bothered by it at all.

“It ain’t no big deal. She wants no part of it anyway,” Robertson went on. “She’s been married to me for 43 years. The last thing she needs is to watch us on a TV show.”

The tea-drinking duck call maker said he’s not always happy to be the center of attention, either. “Celebrity life is not all it’s cracked up to be,” he said.

“If I had a choice to go somewhere or stay home, I’d stay home,” Robertson said. “Im a homebody. Christine’s the same.”

Apparently, the close-knit couple is OK with hanging out at home since they got all their partying out of the way when they were young.

“Both of us was party animals, I guess you’d call us,” Robertson said, adding that their outgoing personalities are what attracted them to each other. “We enjoyed going out and dancing, we had a good time when we were dating.”

For Duck Dynasty‘s Robertson brood, reality TV is as much a part of the family business as the duck calls that made them rich. Even Phil and Miss Kay‘s oldest son, Alan, gave in and joined the show in 2013. Not everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame, though—six seasons in, Uncle Si‘s wife, Christine Robertson, remains the lone holdout. Now, in the brand-new Duck Dynasty collector’s issue of Us Weekly, the 66-year-old A&E star reveals the real reason his homemaker wife doesn’t appear on the show.

“I always told people, ‘She’s got better sense than the rest of us.’ But that ain’t the real reason,” Si exclusively tells Us of Christine, 67. “Sometimes we film 12 hours a day, and she’s just not healthy enough to go through the rigors of that.”

He adds, “But, ah, it ain’t no big deal. She wants no part of it anyway. She’s been married to me for 43 years. The last thing she needs is to watch us on a TV show.”

Si himself is wary of being in the public eye, too. Though he stresses how grateful he is for Duck Dynasty fans, the Louisiana native doesn’t always love being the center of attention. “Celebrity life is not all it’s cracked up to be!” he shares. “If I had a choice to go somewhere or stay home, I’d stay home. I’m a homebody. Christine’s the same.”
